Adidas Unveils Massive Pickleball Expansion in Singapore

adidas unveils massive pickleball expansion in singapore

German sportswear manufacturer Adidas has made a decisive entry into Singapore’s rapidly growing pickleball landscape, unveiling a new court collection that signals its intent to compete seriously in the sport’s evolving ecosystem.

Rather than a quiet rollout, the brand chose an experiential approach – introducing the range at PickleXCup on March 26 at Sports Arena Expo Hall 7. The venue buzzed with players and enthusiasts eager to test the equipment firsthand, turning the launch into an interactive showcase rather than a conventional product reveal.

The newly introduced court collection spans paddles, footwear, and apparel, designed to offer balance, control, and all-court performance. Notably, the range avoids targeting a single player profile, instead catering to a diverse mix of playing styles – from aggressive attackers to control-oriented defenders.

At the heart of the launch are four paddles, each engineered with a specific on-court purpose. Leading the lineup is the Metalbone S, a customizable paddle featuring a raw carbon striking surface and an adjustable weighting system. This allows players to fine-tune the balance between power, spin, and control based on their preferences.

For faster-paced exchanges, the Metalbone 14.5 provides a more responsive feel, combining a low-density honeycomb core with a Spin Blade Max surface to enhance touch during quick rallies. Meanwhile, the Metalbone LP Team leans toward power while maintaining forgiveness, offering consistency even on off-centre hits.

Rounding out the range is the RX Carbon CTRL, a control-focused paddle built with a 16mm low-density core, a raw carbon fiber face, and a centered sweet spot – features that cater especially to players prioritizing stability and precision in defensive play.

Beyond paddles, the brand has introduced pickleball-specific footwear in two color combinations colourways -Cloud White-Core Black-Collegiate Green and Halo Blue-Silver Metallic-Lucid Blue. Designed for hard-court demands, the shoes incorporate a lightweight mesh upper, reinforced Adituff toe protection, and an Adiwear outsole aimed at delivering reliable grip during rapid directional movements.

Adding a human touch to the launch, adidas installed a fully branded, interactive court at the venue, inviting visitors to experience the products in real-time match scenarios. The activation, running until April 5, transforms the space into more than just a display, it becomes a testing ground for players of all levels.

To further engage the community, participants who share their on-court experiences stand a chance to win a paddle valued at up to $271. The initiative reflects a broader strategy: building connections and credibility within a fast-growing sporting community, not just selling equipment.

With this launch, adidas is not merely entering the market, it is embedding itself within Singapore’s pickleball culture, one rally at a time.
