'Amazing experience': Advik Jain reflects on stellar performance at Surya pickleball tournament

Advik Jain delivered a brilliant performance at the Surya Pickleball Tournament, clinching the gold medals in the Boys Under-18 Singles and Doubles categories and securing a silver in the Under-16 Singles event at the Indian Pickleball Association-sanctioned PWR 100 event in Indore on March 28.

His three-medal haul on debut marked a remarkable achievement.

Jain’s Boys U18 Doubles title with Panth Singhai was a testament to their strong coordination and control on the court. He then went on to secure the Boys U18 Singles crown, before finishing runner-up in the Boys U16 Singles after losing to Siddharth Nikhoriya in the final later in the day.

Despite the demanding schedule and multiple categories, Jain maintained composure and consistency throughout the tournament.

speaking to Pickleball Nowhe reflected on his experience of competing at the tournament. “I have been playing in this academy for many years. This was my first pickleball tournament here and it was an amazing experience,” Jain said.

He also spoke about the atmosphere at the venue, highlighting the energy around the courts. “It was a bit hot in the morning, but later the atmosphere was amazing. There were players everywhere and it was fun to play,” he added.

Jain emphasized his approach to the game, underlining the importance of enjoying the sport rather than focusing only on results. “I think it is more important to have fun. Hard work is important, but if you enjoy it, you will not feel pressure. If you play your game without pressure, you will win,” he said.
