While fifth-seeded anahat got the better of hong kong’s toby tse 3-1 in the final, the second-seeded chotrani defeated third seed ameeshenraj chandaran of malaysia 3-0.
Anahat fought really well after losing the second game and won the match 11-4, 9-11, 11-2, 11-8. Chotrani, on the other hand, defeated Ameeshenraj in Straight Games (11-3, 11-4, 11-8).
Anahat is the only Indian woman to Qualify for the event. She is also only the second Indian woman to Qualify for the psa world championships over the last six years, after joshna chinappa. Anahat Defeated Eighth Seed Helen Tang of Hong Kong China 3-0 (11-2, 11-7, 11-6) in the semifinal.
Chotrani, mean, will play in the championships for the first time. He will join abhay singh, velavan teenthilkumar, and ramit tandon in the men’s singles main draw. Earlier in the Semi-Finals, He Got The Better of Chi Him Wong of Hong Kong China 3-1 (11-7, 11-6, 7-11, 11-4).
