

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has extended the contract of head coach phil simmons Till 2027.
The Former West Indies Cricketer was the first appointed by the BCB in October 2024 as an interim coach, with his tenure initially set to run until the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
However, during his interim stint, simmons did not enjoy much success. Bangladesh could win one test and a t20i in the west indies but crashed out of the champions trophy in the group stage after losing their matches against India and new zealand.
Simmons’ Contract Extension by the BCB He will no longer coach the karachi kings in the Pakistan super league.
The BCB Appointed Him in October Last Year as a replacement for Chandika Hathurusingha.
Simmons is an experienced coach, having previously managed teams like Zimbabwe, Ireland, and Afghanistan. He also coached the west indies in two separate stints, with their 2016 T20 World Cup Triumph in India Being His Most Significant Achievement as a Coach.
