Sahibzada Farhan slammed a century as Multan Sultants chased down the big target of 226 against Hyderabad Kingsment in the 8th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026. The Sultans’ opener slammed an unbeaten 106 off 57 balls. Batting with a strike rate of 185.96, Farhan hit 8 sixes and 7 fours in his knock. He and Steve Smith gave a dream start to Sultans and added 104 runs for the first wicket in 8.1 overs. Smith slammed 46 off just 20 balls. Shan Masood scored 29 off 16 balls while Arafat Minhas remained unbeaten on 26 off 11 balls in the chase.

Maaz Sadaqat top-scored for Kingsmen and he scored 62 off 26 balls. Sharjeel Khan remained unbeaten on 51 off 26 balls to take his team past the 200-run mark. But the total didn’t prove to be enough as Sultans chased it down in 18.4 overs with six wickets to spare.

Sahibzada Farhan created history and etched his name in record books during his knock and he became the fastest right-hander to score 9 T20 centuries. He achieved the milestone in only 160 innings.

Chris Gayle holds the overall record. The Universe Boss slammed his 9th T20 century in only 127 innings. Farhan has been scoring consistently in the shortest format and he has achieved another milestone.

He now sits fourth in the list of batsmen with the most T20 centuries. With 22 tons, Gayle tops the overall list. He also slammed 88 half-centuries. Babar Azam sits in the second position. The former Pakistan captain has hit 11 tons.

With 10 centuries, David Warner acquires the third position. The former Australia vice-captain is playing in the Pakistan Super League 2026 for Karachi Kings.

Farhan shares the fourth spot with Rilee Rossouw and Virat Kohli. Kohli is playing IPL 2026 for Royal Challengers Bengaluru and can slam his 10th T20 century in the ongoing century. He has 8 centuries in IPL. Kohli slammed one T20I ton.

With 8 centuries each, Abhishek Sharma, Michael Klinger, Aaron Finch, Faf du Plessis, Quinton de Kock, Rohit Sharma, Jos Buttler and Glenn Maxwell share the fifth spot.
