Rajat Patidar-Led Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will host Ajinkya Rahane’s Kolkata Knight (Kkr) in the first ipl 2025 match when it resumes. The tournament was suspended for a week on may 10. The 58th match between rcb and kkr will be played at the m chinnaswamy stadium on Saturday (May 17) from 7:30 PM Ist.

RCB need a win to continue their aim to finish in the top four while it’s a do-die game for kkr. A defeat here will end kkr’s campaign. Both teams will get a point each if the match is washed out.

There are chances of rain in the city on the game day and it would have an impact on the all-primes. As per accuweather, there is a 34 per cent chance of Rain at 7:00 PM IST.

The chances of rain will go up to 40 per cent by 9 PM and 51 per cent by 10 PM. The chances will drop for 47 per cent by 11 PM. There is a possibility of rain during the fixure and it would be a rain-crushed game. The m chinnaswamy stadium has the best drainage facility and the game can resume within few minutes after the game stops.

Both teams will hope that there is no rain during the game and the fans get to witness a complete 40-over. A minimum of 5 overs need to be bowled per innings to complete a result.

RCB sit at the second spot in the IPL 2025 points table. Gujarat Titans Acquire the top position. Both teams have 8 wins and 16 points in their account. Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians Acquire the Third and Fourth Spots, Respectively. Kkr have 5 Wins from 12 matches and are at the Sixth Spot. Another defeat at this stage will end their IPL 2025 Campaign.
