The West Indies last visited India in 2013-14. The Caribbean team’s last tour of India took place in 2022 for three ODIs and the same T20 international matches.

New Delhi. India is going to host the West Indies after 12 years. A Test match series will be played between the two teams. Also, the cricket team of South Africa will also visit India in November. The series will be played in all three formats between India and South Africa. BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla said that India will take on the Windies in the first Test in Mohali from October 2, while the second Test will be held at Eden Gardens in Kolkata from October 10.
Talking to PTI, Rajeev Shukla said that the West Indies’ last Test tour of India took place in 2013-14, which was the last international match of the legendary player Sachin Tendulkar. The Caribbean team’s last tour of India took place in 2022 for three ODIs and the same T20 international matches. After the West Indies series, the South African team will come to India for a series of two Tests, three ODIs and five T20 matches. From the T20 series, both teams will get a chance to prepare for the T20 World Cup to be held in India next year.

Shukla said here, ‘The first Test will be in Delhi, while the second Test will be in Guwahati.’ This will be the first Test in Guwahati, which often hosts white ball matches. The city is also hosting IPL matches for the last two sessions. After the Test matches, the first ODI will be in Ranchi on 30 November, while Raipur will host the second ODI on December 3. The final ODI will be held on December 6 in Visakhapatnam. The first T20 match will be played on December 9, followed by matches on 11, 14, 17 and 19 December. India will host the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup in September this year.
Rajiv Shukla said, ‘The dates are not yet decided but the first match will be played in Vijag and other places include Guwahati, Mullanpur (Punjab), Thiruvananthapuram and Indore. The location for the final is not yet decided.
