New Delhi: It seems that it was auspicious for Ishaan Kishan to change the team, because he scored the first century of his IPL career as soon as Sunrisers came to Hyderabad. In the second match of IPL 2025 against Rajasthan Royals, he scored a century in 45 balls.
Drinking insulted sips and took revenge
He was not retained by Mumbai Indians before the mega auction, after which Sunrisers Hyderabad bought him for Rs 11.25 crore in November 2024 for the current season. It was not easy for Ishaan for some time. He was first dropped from Team India on charges of indiscipline allegedly. Later, the BCCI also dropped out of the Central Contract. Despite making a double century at ODI International, he played the last match for India in November 2023.
99 runs were the last highest score
IPL 2020 proved to be a successful season for Ishaan Kishan as he scored 516 runs at a strike rate of 145.76. In that season, he scored 99 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore, which was the best innings of his IPL career. After remaining calm in IPL 2021, Ishaan Kishan was retained by Mumbai for Rs 15.25 crore and he scored 418 and 454 runs respectively in two seasons after that.
He started his career with Gujarat Lions
In 2016, the left -arm wicketkeeper batsman Ishaan Kishan was given the first opportunity in the IPL by Gujarat Lions by purchasing his base price for Rs 35 lakh. Gujarat Lions emerged after suspending Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR). The new franchise, captained by Suresh Raina, also retained him next year. Ishaan Kishan moved to Mumbai Indians after the 2018 auction.
