Neeraj Chopra Classic Postponed AMID Rising India-Pakistan Tensions

The Neeraj Chopra Classic, which was a first-off-IF-IF-STAR-STUDDED Athletics Event Taking Place in India is now an uncertain future. Amidst the Rising Tensions Between India and Pakistan, The World Athletics Gold Label Event Has Now Been Postponed From Its Original Date of May 24. It is the latest big-ticket Event to be postponed after 2025 was earlier suspended for a week. A later date has not been announced as of yet.
The event was set to be jointly organized by Olympic Champion Neeraj Chopra and JSW Sports, in Association with the Athletics Federation of India and World Athletics. The event was originally set to be hand in panchkula, but was laater shifted to bengaluru due to logistical issues.
“In light of the current situation, the inaugural edition of the NC Classic Stands Postponed Until Further Notice. Stakeholders, and the Broader Community as the Top Priority. Point is only with our Armed Forces, Who are at the Forefront for our nation.

Pakistani javelin thrower and paris olympic gold medallist arshad nadeem was earlier invited to be part of the Neeraj Chopra Classic. However, after the dastardly terrorist attack in pahalgam that killed 26 innocent tourists, his invitation was officially canceled. In his place Sri lankan rumesh pathrage was announced as the replacement.

Anderson Peters, Thomas Rohler, Julius Yego, Curtis Thompson, Genki Dean, Luiz Mauricio Da Silva, Rumesh Pathirage.
