The 2026 Pickleball World Cup is scheduled to be held from 31st August to 6th September in Da Nang, Vietnam. This edition will mark a milestone as it brings international pickleball to Asia for the first time. Riding the wave of pickleball’s growing popularity in India, the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA) has officially received an invitation to send teams to this prestigious tournament.
The official invitation reads, “We extend our warmest greetings and highest regards to the delegation of India. On behalf of the organizing committee, we are delighted to invite your esteemed organization to participate in the 2026 Pickleball World Cup.”

Thus, India will proudly field five powerhouse teams across all age groups: Under 14, Under 18, Open, 50+, and 60+. Selection trials will be held soon to pick the best athletes to represent the country.
Each category: Open, Seniors, Juniors, Kids, and Masters, will feature a minimum of four players, ensuring intense competition. Officials have also confirmed that the 2026 International Pickleball Tournament – World Cup Edition will take place during the same week and at the same venue, adding even more excitement to the event.
The 2025 Pickleball World Cup was held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, featuring participants from over 60 nations. The tournament was nominated for Best International Tournament at the DINK Awards for the second consecutive year, highlighting its growing global stature. The United States emerged as the champion in 2025.

For India, the 2025 edition was a breakthrough. The Indian contingent finished seventh overall with 25 medals, becoming the only Asian nation in the top 10. IPA President Suryaveer Singh Bhullar won gold in 50+ Men’s Doubles (4.5) with Nitten Kirrtane, while other podium finishes came from Rakshikha Ravi, Sindoor Mittal, Dhiren Patel, Deepali Agarwal, Veer Shah, Anushka Chhabria, Kiaan Contractor, Aayra Khanna, Aariv Raj Khanna, and Mihika. Yadav. Additionally, Amrita secured a silver medal in Women’s Singles (4.5 DUPR).
India’s junior team excelled, earning ‘Best Delegation- Juniors’, with Veer Shah named Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Anushka Chhabria winning four medals.
This year, with multiple tournaments held across India since last year and several breakthrough players emerging, the country looks promising heading into the Pickleball World Cup 2026. Players like Mihika Yadav and Arjun Singh, among others, are expected to make a strong impact.
As the 2026 edition debuts in Asia, India aims to build on last year’s success and strengthen its global presence.
