Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have equaled MS Dhoni’s record and become the joint-most capped players in IPL. The former IPL captains achieved this milestone in the IPL 2026 match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Rohit and Kohli made their IPL debuts in 2008 and have been playing in IPL regularly since then. Dhoni hasn’t played a fixture in IPL 2026. He is out of action due to a calf injury.
