Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are all currently taking on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their final league game of the campaign at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. This will be a very big match as both teams wi;; be aiming for a win to solidify their chances for a top two finish. A win from RCB would guarantee that they enter the playoffs as the top placed team in the league stage. As the playing XIs were announced for both the teams, the RCB lineup appeared a bit out of the box, as they went in with two overseas players instead of the stipulated four.
As the RCB playing XI was announced, the two foreign players who were announced were only Romario Shepherd and Josh Hazlewood. All other players were Indians.
At the toss RCB captain Rajat Patidar said that he himself returned to the lineup after missing the last game due to a concussion issue. The one who went out was Jacob Bethell, who is out with a finger injury. With Bethell out, the reins of the opening batter has apparently been handed over to Venkatesh Iyer, who won the Player of the Match for his knock against Punjab Kings (PBKS).
RCB have also gone in with Jordan Cox and Tim David among the four substitutes. Hence, they can bring in either one of these two as the impact player when they come out to bat in the second innings. In that case, they will have three players playing for them tonight.
