After 73 matches over two months, it is D-Day as Royal Challengers Bengaluru will face the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the summit clash of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. Both sides are aiming to lift the trophy for the second time in history, and at the same venue, both of them lifted the title for the first time.

RCB are the defending champions and will look to secure their place in history as the third team after Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) to lift the trophy in back-to-back years. On the other hand, the Shubman Gill-led side won their first title in 2022 under Hardik Pandya’s leadership and are looking to add another piece of silverware to their crown.

RCB VS GT IPL 2026 Final – Pitch, Weather Report From Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium

pitch report:The match will take place at pitch number 6 of the Narendra Modi Stadium. This is a mixed-soil pitch (black and red). It was the same surface, which was used for the 2026 T20 World Cup final between India and New Zealand in March, where the hosts posted a record total of 255 before winning the game by 96 runs.

However, it is worth noting that the same surface was used for the league stage match between the two teams, which GT won by five wickets after RCB was bowled out for just 155.

Throughout the league, the Titans used spicy pitches. However, it remains to be seen in the final when the home team does not have control of the pitch if they get such a surface.

weather report: There is no chance of rain in Ahmedabad, and a result should be achieved today. However, it is an extremely hot day with temperatures hovering between 29 and 39 degree celcius. Dew could become a factor in these conditions with no wind around.
