Shubman Gill-led India will face Harry Brook’s England in a three-match ODI series, starting July 13. Brook captained England to a 4-0 win in the five-match T20I series and will aim to continue their form in the ODI series. Virat Kohli will make will much-awaited return to international cricket in the England series. He hasn’t played international cricket since January 2026. Kohli was named in the ODI series against Afghanistan, played in June, but was ruled out due to a hamstring injury.
Shubman Gill will be leading the Men in Blue in the three-match series. He will be assisted by Shreyas Iyer, who has yet to win a game as the T20I captain.
India were forced to make a late change to the ODI team as Prince Yadav replaced an injured Harshit Rana. Jasprit Bumrah will is set to play his first ODI since the 2023 World Cup final.
Bumrah was named in the ODI squad for the 2025 Champions Trophy but was ruled out due to an injury. He will also play in the 2026 Asian Games.

The three India-England ODIs will be played on July 14, 16 and 19 in Edgbaston, Cardiff and Lord’s, respectively. The first and third ODIs will start at 3:30 PM IST while the second ODI will kick off at 5:30 PM IST.
