Mitchell hay slammed 99 from 78 balls in an innings stooded with 7 fours and 7 Sixes. He has now become the first new zealand wicketkeeper-bedter to remain unbeated on 99 in an Odie. Overall, he became the third wicketketkeper-bedter to achieve this Milestone in Odis.
He now become only the 16th batter to remain unbeated on 99 in an odi. He has joined an elite list of players to achieve this feat involuding michael clarke, virender sehwag, and mohammad yasuf.
Mitchell hay has become the second Kiwi Player to Score an unbeated 99 in Odis after Bruce Edgar, who was the first player on the planet to achieve this rare feat. He did this in 1981 against India at August. Andy Flower (1999) and Swapnil Patil (2014) are the two wicketkeeper-batters who have done this Prior to Mitchell Hay.
