Indian players secured two podium finishes at the US Open Pickleball Championships, with Panth Thakkar and Moksha Yerram winning bronze in the 4.5 mixed doubles (12–29 age category), while Deepali Agarwal and Dhiren Patel claimed silver in the 4.5 mixed doubles (40–49 age category).
Thakkar and Yerram produced a strong performance in the bronze medal match, defeating J Fuller and H Sung 15-7. The pair controlled the match from early on and maintained a steady lead, closing it out comfortably to secure a podium finish in a competitive draw.
The match, played at Franklin Court 41, saw Thakkar and Yerram combine aggressive net play with consistent baseline returns. They limited unforced errors and capitalized on key points, especially during the middle phase of the game where they built a decisive gap.
In the older age category, Agarwal and Patel reached the final and finished with silver after a straight-game defeat to W Junior and D Gebara. The top-seeded pair won 11-9, 11-2.

The opening game was closely contested. Agarwal and Patel stayed in the rally exchanges and pushed their opponents to the limit. However, Junior and Gebara edged ahead in the closing points to take the first game 11-9.
The second game saw a shift in momentum. Junior and Gebara dominated early and built a quick lead. Agarwal and Patel struggled to recover and eventually went down 11-2, settling for silver.
Despite the loss in the final, Agarwal and Patel’s run to the title match highlighted their consistency across rounds. They showed strong coordination and resilience to reach the final stage of the tournament.
The US Open Pickleball Championships remains one of the biggest events in the sport, attracting top international talent across multiple categories. Strong performances in such events reflect the growing presence of Indian players on the global pickleball circuit.
With a bronze and a silver, the results underline India’s steady progress in the sport across different age categories. With Indian players making their presence felt across multiple divisions, the US Open Pickleball Championships served as another indicator of the country’s growing footprint in the sport.
Earlier, India’s Arjun Singh and Aditya Singh won the Mens Doubles 5.0 title at the US Open Pickleball Championships. This was the third gold for Arjun Singh, while for Aditya it was the second title at the Championships.
Arjun also won the Men’s Singles 5.0 title, while Aditya, paired up with Arjun, to win the Under-18 Boys Doubles title.
Elsewhere, the young Indian pairing of Atharva Sheth and Panth Thakkar won the silver medal in the Men’s Doubles 4.5 category at the US Open Pickleball Championship in Florida.
