Kolkata Knight Riders spinner Varun Chakaravarthy used social media to give a special message to Vijay as his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), had a spectacular debut in the Tamil Nadu elections. It appears that TVK will secure over 100 seats in the assembly election, and Vijay will most likely take over as the state’s next chief minister. On his Instagram story, Varun shared an old photo of himself with Vijay with the caption ‘Anna’. The Indian spinner has acknowledged his admiration for Vijay and the renowned superstar Rajinikanth.
Varun Chakravarthy Back In Form
Earlier, Chakravarthy revealed how IPL conditions change after winning Player of the Match in his team’s match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). He pointed out that early-season grounds are typically flat, which makes it challenging for spinners. He believed that all spin bowlers faced this difficulty, but as the competition goes on, things usually get better. Speaking about the competition, he noted that Travis Head was batting aggressively and with good reach, and he stated that his goal was to break that rhythm.
Additionally, he expressed confidence in his team’s increasing unity, saying that the batting and bowling groups are working well together and that they may have a significant impact on the tournament if they keep up this pace.
KKR won by seven wickets for the third time this season thanks to a brilliant three-wicket performance from Chakravarthy and a well-planned effort from Angkrish Raghuvanshi. Varun was wicketless in his first three games going into the event following a mixed bag T20 World Cup, where spinners’ form declined after the group stage. However, Varun has claimed ten wickets in his next four games.
“I’ve been saying this every year. Initially, when IPL starts, the first four matches will be flat wickets. It’s very tough for spinners to come into the game. Happened for every spinner. As the tournament goes on, spinners come into the game. He was extending his hands very well (talking about Head), I didn’t want him to do that. The guys are coming together, the batting group is coming together. We can make a serious dent. in the IPL if we keep going,” Chakravarthy said after the match.
