Vaibhav Sooryavanshi In Or Out: India Likely Playing XI For 4th T20I vs England

vaibhav sooryavanshi in or out: india likely playing xi for 4th t20i vs england

England will have their eyes on the series win when they host India in the fourth and the penultimate T20I of the series in Bristol on Thursday (July 8). The 2022 T20 World Cup champions lead the series 2-0 after three games and another win here will see them clinch the series. India have been struggling on the ongoing UK tour and they are yet to register a win. They lost two T20Is against Ireland and are on the cusp of a series defeat against England. As the fans eagerly wait for the fourth T20I, here we have a look at India’s likely playing XI –

openers

No change is expected here and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi will continue to open the innings with Abhishek Sharma. The 15-year-old has yet to play a big knock against England. He scored 14 in the series opener and was dismissed for 13 in the second game. Sooryavanshi has hit four sixes in only 15 balls he has faced. Abhishek will also hope to get a big innings.

middle-order

Ishan Kishan will continue to bat at number three and will be followed by captain Shreyas Iyer. Iyer has been struggling on the captaincy front and India are yet to register a win under him. He has performed well with the bat and has 110 runs in three innings.

All-rounders

Tilak Varma, Axar Patel, Shivam Dube and Harshit Rana will continue to be three all-rounders in the team. The team management made the shocking call to send Harshit ahead of Shivam during the chase in the third T20I. That might not be the case going ahead.

Tilak struggled during the game and departed for 3 off 11 balls. Being the vice-captain, he has an extra responsibility and the management would hope that he delivers the goods going ahead.

Bowlers

Prince Yadav once again proved his worth and he only conceded 30 runs in four overs on a pitch where India leaked a total of 201. He also scalped two wickets. All eyes will be on Prince once again. Varun Chakravarthy is likely to keep his place. Arshdeep Singh will lead India’s pace attack.
