As WWE prepares for its Premium Live Event, Battleground, the May 19 episode of WWE NXT looks to be a fantastic show. In order to keep spectators interested all night, the promotion has scheduled exciting matches. Tonight, NXT comes from the Performance Center in Orlando once more. Two title matches and several eagerly awaited NXT debuts are among the five matches scheduled for tonight.
Mason Rook inked his NXT contract last week, but what has people talking is what transpire prior to the signing. The NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo showed out to have a brief conversation with the British big man who had landed vicious moonsaults on him the previous two weeks after making a strong promo claiming to be the best “any-weight” in NXT. Rook ran off once more after Kam Hendrix, who had just been promoted from Evolve, attacked Tony from behind. This time, Rook eliminated a number of incompetent security guards who were meant to maintain order in the Performance Center in addition to Tony and Kam, who were fighting on the ground.
The brand’s top two champions, NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo and North American Champion Myles Borne, would face Rook and Hendrix in their NXT in-ring debuts, it was revealed later in the evening.
