Mohammad Rizwan and Shadab Khan will join an elite list when they play their next Pakistan Super League (PSL) game in the ongoing season. Rizwan is leading Rawalpindiz in the tournament. Shadab plays for Islamabad. Rizwan will be in action on Saturday (April 18) as Rawalpindiz are scheduled to take on Lahore Qalandars in the only fixture scheduled for the day. Rizwan will join Babar Azam in the elite list of players to play 100 PSL matches. The Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter made his PSL debut in the inaugural season of the league and has been playing for them since then.
Shadab made his PSL debut in 2017. He has been playing for Islamabad United since joining PSL. He has 1517 runs and 114 wickets in the T20 league. Islamabad aare scheduled to face Rawalpindiz in their next gixture on Rawalpindiz.
PSL careers of both teams
Rizwan scored 103 runs in his debut PSL season for Lahore Qalandars in 2016 and followed up 130 runs. He managed 88 runs in PSL 2018 and 79 runs in 2019. He didn’t score a run in one innings he played in PSL 2020.
Rizwan has been enjoying a dream run in PSL 2026. He scored 500, 546, 550, 407 and 367 runs over the next five matches. But he couldn’t change in the team’s fortunes and Rawalpindiz are reeling in the last position in the ppint stable. Rawalpindi have lost all five of their matches.
Shadab played his first PSL game in 2017 and scalped 9 wickets in 8 matches. He followed up with 9, 11, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14 and 14 in the successive seasons.

With 6 wins from 7 matches, Babar Azam’s Peshawar Zalmi top the PSL 2026 points table. They are yet to lsoe a ame in the season. With 4 wins in 7 matches, Islamabad United are second in the group.
Mutan Sultans have also won 4 matches and are in the third position. Quetta Gladiators are in fifth position. Rawalpindiz will stay at the last spot irrespective of the result of today’s fixture. PSL final is scheduled ot be played on May 26.
