CJP Protest: How Nikhat Zareen, Shikhar Dhawan And Others Reacted

cjp protest: how nikhat zareen, shikhar dhawan and others reacted

Former India cricketer Shikhar Dhawan urged students to stay patient amid the growing Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest that has seen thousands of students come onto the streets, demanding reforms in the education system and the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Dhawan said that understanding the students’ needs is essential, but stressed maintaining peace and having faith in the government. The protest has refused to fizzle out despite the government’s assurances, with the students adamant on demanding accountability and the resignation of the education minister.

Dhawan is not the only one to speak on the ongoing issue. Two-time world champion and Commonwealth Games gold medalist said that students’ voices must be heard by the government.

“Students are the future. Listen before they stop speaking. Nations don’t grow by silencing questions. They grow by answering them. Dialogue safeguards tomorrow. That is democracy,” she said.
