Akash Ambani Walks Out, Signals Fans To Leave Amid MI’s Freefall Vs CSK: Watch Viral Video

akash ambani walks out, signals fans to leave amid mi's freefall vs csk: watch viral video

Mumbai Indians (MI) are in jeopardy, they really are, and after the defeat to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at home, their chances of reaching the playoffs have nosedived. MI finds themselves at the eighth position in the points table, with five defeats and two wins, and unless they go on a winning spree, they’ll have to wait at least a year for their sixth IPL title.

MI have been all over the place in IPL 2026. The big guns haven’t fired; there have been a couple of instances of individual brilliance, but overall as a team, they’ve yet to play like five-time champions. And this has been MI’s story for the last few years, ever since MI removed Rohit Sharma and named Hardik Pandya the captain. Hardik’s captaincy has also come under the scanner after a consistent decline. The overall mood of the camp doesn’t look promising, and it was evident from the actions of Akash Ambani.

Mumbai Indians were chasing 208 against CSK, which was a par score on the surface, but the team crumbled to get bowled out for 104 and lost by 103 runs. Even before the match could finish, a frustrated Akash left the MI dugout and even gestured to the fans to leave, the video of which went viral on social media and stirred a debate.

Time Running Out For Hardik Pandya

MI captain Hardik Pandya is under a lot of pressure. His captaincy has been questioned, while his performance with the bat or ball has also been below par. MI is a brand with a massive fan base, and three consecutive years where the team failed to do well is a bit too much to cope with. If the team fails to make a turnaround and reach the playoffs, MI might have a new captain next season.
