Shreyas Iyer-led India will take on Harry Brook’s England in the fifth and final T20I of the series on Saturday (July 11). The fixture will be played at the Rose Bowl in Southampton from 7:00 PM IS. The toss will take place 30 minutes before the start of the play. The home team leads the series 3-0 and they are aiming for a whitewash. India haven’t won a game on the UK tour so far. The Men in Blue suffered a shocking defeat in the first T20I against Ireland. The Irish team also won the second game to whitewash the visitors.
The first India-England T20I was washed out due to rain. England chased down the target of 191 in the second game to go 1-0 up. England bowled out India for a mere total of 76 in the third game. The 2022 T20 World Cup Champions chased down 159 at the loss of just one wicket in the fourth game to clinch the series 3-0.
India haven’t won a fixture under Iyer’s captaincy so far. He replaced Suryakumar Yadav as the captain despite the latter’s success in the 2026 T20 World Cup. Suryakumar captained India to their third T20 WC title win. Ge was also dropped from the squad.
