Rishabh Pant all but confirmed the end of the road for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in IPL 2026 as he talked about figuring out the batting order for the next season. Pant-led LSG made few changes in their batting order. Pant came to open the innings with Mitchell Marsh in LSG’s first game of the season against Delhi Capitals. Pant went back to the middle order and Aiden Markram returned as an opener after the first game. LSG made another change at the top and Aayush Badoni opened the innings in two games.
Playing his first game of the season, Josh Inglis opened the innings with Marsh in the previous game of the season against Mumbai Indians. He is missing the game against RCB due to an injury.
“We have a few injuries in our team. So Arshin (Kulkarni) comes in for Inglis, he’s a little injured. Mohsin is also little injured, and Shahbaz (Ahmed) comes in for Sid (Manimaran Siddharth). (Conversations within the side?) The only thing is moving with more clarity. We know we are the top players, but at the same time, when clarity is missing sometimes, it can happen in cricket,” Pant said.
“So most of the time, the talk is about clarity, and there are a few changes in the batting order, so hopefully we can figure out and take it for the next season. Having a stable environment in T20 cricket is essential, but at the same time, when the changes are needed, you should be able to change something, because every time, doing the same thing might not give you the same outcome. Arshin Kulkarni opens innings
LSG made another change in their batting order against RCB as Arshin Kulkarni opened the innings with Marsh against RCB. Arshin is playing his first game of the season.
With 12 points, RCB are in the third spot and a win over LSG will see them move to the top position. The Rajat Patidar-led side has 6 wins and 3 defeats in 9 matches.
