New Delhi. Shardul Thakur, who was unsold in the IPL auction, has overturned as soon as the tournament begins. This bowler of India has become kind to Lucknow Supergiants (LSG). When the LSG team reached Visakhapatnam to compete with Delhi Capitals, it was accompanied by Shardul Thakur. It is believed that Shardul can be included in the team of Lucknow Supergiants as a replacement of Mohsin Khan.
Lucknow Supergiants have to play their first match in IPL 2025 with Delhi Capitals on 24 March. The Lucknow team may have reached Visakhapatnam for this match but their condition is thin. LSG management is troubled by the injury of its fast bowlers. The team’s 4 fast bowlers Mayank Yadav, Avesh Khan, Akash Deep and Mohsin Khan are out of the early matches of the tournament due to injury. Mayank, Akash Deep and charge may be in a position to play after a few matches, but the team management does not have such a confidence about Mohsin. Due to this, it has been agreed to include Shardul Thakur in his place.
Lucknow Supergiants had associated Shardul Thakur with him ever since the training camp was set up this season. Now the reason for this is becoming clear. The team was already running a plan B and if none of the injured bowlers had fit till the tournament, then who would be his replacement. Shardul Thakur was the first name in this plan. By the way, Shivam Mavi was also in LSG’s training camp and if his name is also seen in replacement instead of an injured bowler, it should not be surprised.
