Australian Star Brutally Roasts PSL Organizers – ‘Might Find A Blanket And A Pillow And Sleep Here’

psl 2026: australian star ashton turner brutally roasts pakistan super league organizers - 'might find a blanket and a pillow and sleep here'

Pakistan’s amateur scheduling was exposed again as Multan Sultans captain Ashton Turner lashed out at the organizers of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) after his team’s victory over Rawalpindiz at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Monday (April 6). The Australian star has led his team exceptionally so far, with his team having a near-flawless campaign with four wins in five games so far.

The Sultans are currently top of the 2026 PSL table with eight points. However, they have played more matches than any other team. The Multan-based outfit has played five matches so far, which no other team has. Quite incredible, only three teams have played four games while three have played only three so far. Meanwhile, Peshawar Zalmi has played just two games in the tournament.

The Sultans were forced to play games on back-to-back days, as before the game against Piniz, they faced the Quetta Gladiators on Sunday (April 5), which they won by six wickets.

Despite winning both games, Turner was not happy with the scheduling and lashed out at the organizers.

“Might go and find somewhere to get a blanket and a pillow and sleep here — very short turnaround,” said the Australian in the post-match press conference.

Turner has had a brilliant season so far with 129 runs in five innings. He has been dismissed just once while having a strike rate of 189.70. He has also taken two wickets with the ball.

The Sultans’ captain is playing the PSL for the second time in his career. He played three matches for the Multan-based team in 2023 and managed to make just 15 runs.

Turner has played in the IPL in the past when he featured for the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in 2019. He made just three runs in four matches and was dismissed for a golden duck in each of his first three matches. Overall, he had been dismissed without opening his account in five matches in a row, a record in T20 cricket. He also played two games for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 2024 season.
