Shubham Khandelwal and Miheet Dhaneja produced a strong response after losing the second game to clinch the Under-18 Boys Doubles title at the Franklin Avsoy North Cup PWR100 in Gurugram. The pair defeated Gaurav Sood and Saaish Arora 11-7, 6-11, 11-2 in the final, recovering impressively after the match was pushed into a decider.

Shubham and Miheet started brightly, controlling the opening game with aggressive play and sharp court coverage. They maintained the pressure throughout the first game and secured an 11-7 advantage to move within one game of the title.

However, Gaurav and Saaish responded strongly in the second game. They found better rhythm in the rallies, reduced their unforced errors and managed to disrupt their opponents’ momentum. Their improved play helped them level the contest with an 11-6 victory, forcing a deciding game.

With the title on the line, Shubham and Miheet raised their level once again.

The duo dominated the third game from the outset, taking control at the kitchen line and putting constant pressure on Gaurav and Saaish. Their attacking intent and consistency proved decisive as they raced through the decider 11-2.

The victory earned Shubham and Miheet the Under-18 Boys Doubles crown at the Franklin Avsoy North Cup PWR100, one of the latest events on the growing junior pickleball calendar in North India.

For runners-up Gaurav and Saaish, the final represented another encouraging performance in a competitive junior field, but it was Shubham and Miheet who finished strongest to walk away with the title.

The Franklin Avsoy North Cup brought top pickleball action to North India, with players competing for valuable PWR100 ranking points in Gurugram, Haryana. It was held from May 29-30, 2026, at SESH Sports & Fitness, one of the region’s emerging pickleball venues.

Organized under the growing PWR tournament structure, the event attracts players from across North India looking to strengthen their rankings and gain competitive experience. With fast courts and a packed schedule over two days, the tournament offered an important platform for both established and rising players to test themselves in a high-level environment.

The North Cup also highlights the continued expansion of pickleball in Haryana and the wider northern region, where participation and tournament opportunities have increased significantly over the past year.
