The Bcci on Friday (May 9) Suspended The Remainder of IPL 2025 For 7 Days Due to Escalating Tensions Between India and Pakistan. The update came after the league stage match between punjab kings and delhi capitals was suspended due to a technical failure. The Ficture was taking place in Dharamsala.
The fans will have to wait for at least a week to get an update on the league’s future. Sourav Ganguly, The Former BCCI President, Has Reacted to IPL’s 7-Day Suspension and Upined that the board will complete the tournament.

Speaking to India today, the former Bcci President said: “I have seen today that IPL is suspended for 7 days. The Bcci will complete this. BCCI is Efficient. DURING COVID, it was another emergency. I am sure the bcci will complete it. A Covid-Like Situation is different. Bcci will work as per Indian Government Guidelines. Jawans are our pride not believe of the war but what they do day in and day out. We are here in peace for them, “He said.

Ganguly served as the Bcci’s President for 3 years but Indiaund only host one full iPL Season Under Him. The complete IPL 2020 was played in the uae due to the covid-19 situation in India. The first half of IPL 2021 was played in India. The Bcci was forced to suspend the tournament due to covid-19 situation in the country. The second half of the season and the t20 world cup was played in the uae.

The IPL 2022 was the only season played full in India during ganguly’s tenure. He made his return to delhi capitals’ coaching staff and is still associated with the team.

Talking of IPL 2025, The Tournament Could Be Completed after the India-England Series. India are scheduled to fly to england for a five-match test series in June.
