Roos van Reek emerged as the standout performer at the APP Asia Penang Open 2026, winning three titles as five finals were decided in Malaysia on July 26.
In the Men’s Singles final, Quang Duong beat Phoenix, 11-3, 11-5. In the Women’s Singles final, Roos van Reek beat Yu-Chieh Hsieh 11–6, 4–11, 11–5 in a three-game final to be crowned the champions.
Men’s Doubles title went to Quang Duong and Harsh Mehta, who beat Aidan Schenk and Jack Munro 11-4, 11-3 in the final. The Women’s Doubles title went to Vivian Glozman and Roos van Reek, who beat Domenika Turkovic and Shelby Bates 11–2, 11–4 in the final.
The Mixed Doubles final brought together the tournament’s two biggest winners. Jack Munro and Roos van Reek lost the opening game 8–11 to Quang Duong and Amanda Hendry, before winning the next two games 11–0, 11–0 to take the title.
That result meant Roos van Reek finished the weekend with three titles – Women’s Singles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles, while Quang Duong finished with two – Men’s Singles and Men’s Doubles, after falling short in the mixed final.
Across the five finals, most matches were settled in straight games, with the Mixed Doubles final standing out as the only one to go the distance.
The tournament’s Pro category wrapped up with these five results, closing out one of the more competitive stops on the tour calendar. With five titles decided across the professional events, the APP Asia Penang Open concluded after a weekend highlighted by Roos van Reek’s three-title haul and Quang Duong’s double triumph.
