According to NBA President of League Operations byron Spruell, The Incident Occurred during the Third Quarter of the Timberwolves’ 117–95 win at crypto.com arena. Edwards, who was seated at the scorer’s table after a timeout, heard a fan heckling teammate Rudy gobert and quickly jumped to his defense.
“He Got $ 200 Million!” Edwards initially shouted at the fan, reference gobert’s contrast. After Gobert Flashed Three Fingers, Edwards Corrected Himself: “He Got $ 300 Million!”
