Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) registered a massive victory against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by a margin of 7 wickets which has caused a massive shift in the IPL playoff qualification scenarios. This win was pretty detrimental for CSK as their chances for qualifying for the IPL 2026 playoffs took a big hit. This win did not have any effect on LSG’s chances however.
CSK have slipped to the 6th position of the IPL table, as they dropped one place. They are now on 12 points from 12 games with a Net Run Rate of 0.027, and now need to win both their games to stay in contention for the playoffs. This loss gives a massive boost to both Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the playoff qualification race.
In fact, this win also propelled RR one place above to the 5th spot.
