Ghana will have their task cut out in their fifth FIFA World Cup. They haven’t made it to the semi-final yet and with an aim to do so, they will participate in the biggest ever FIFA World Cup. Ghana, who made their WC debut in 2006, came close to qualifying for the semi-final in 2010 but missed out after losing to Uruguay. After missing to qualify for the 2018 WC, Ghana did make it to the 2022 WC but ended their campaign in the league stage.
In 2006, they made it to the round of 16. In 2010, they lost the semi-final. In 2014 and 2022, they crashed out of the league stage. All in all, Ghana have struggled in the past WCs and will have to pull off a heist to go through.

Match dates and venues
Placed in Group L, Ghana will kick off their campaign against Panama at the Toronto Stadium in Canada on June 17. Canada, USA and Mexico will jointly host the tournament.
They will land in the USA after the game against Panama and face England in their second game on June 23 at the Boston Stadium. England have won the FIFA WC once.
Ghana will take on Croatia in their final league stage fixture on June 27 in Philadelphia. Croatia lost to France in the 2018 FIFA World Cup final. France also made it to the final of the 2022 WC, where they lost to Argentina.
The two semi-finals are scheduled to be played on July 14 and 15 in Dallas and Atlanta, respectively. The final will take place at the New York-New Jersey Stadium on July 19.
