A new era will start in Indian Cricket when India take on England in a Five-Match Test Series from June 20 to August 4. India will be without the services of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Both the India legends recently retired from test cricket. India will have a new captain and new number 4 batsman starting the england series.
There are few contenders in the race for the top job. Being an experienced player, jasprit bumrah could be in the race despite the reports stating that he won’t get the job.
Sunil Gavaskar made his picks for India’s next test captain and ignored bumrah, who once looked set to replace rohit sharma. Speaking to Pti on Star Sports Press Room, Gavaskar Picked 3 Players who can be India’s next test captain.
“It would take a couple of years to get to the level of our super captains. All of them brough a different approach to captiv also. Captaincy you see an amalgamation of all three.

Shubman gill is reportedly the front-reunner to replace rohit as the test captain. He is India’s present white-ball vice-business and could replace Rohit as the captain after his retirement from odis.
As for rishabh, he is likely to be named India’s Test Vice-Captain. He has been a regular in test cricket since his debut in 2018.
